Role Overview

- We are seeking a high-impact Vice President - Business Development, Sales & Customer Success to own revenue growth, lead national sales strategy, build a best-in-class customer success ecosystem, and scale our clients across India's manufacturing hubs.

- This role reports directly to the founders and is central to our client's next phase of expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Business Development

- Define and execute national GTM and sales strategies to accelerate ARR, improve win rates, and expand market share.

- Own the entire revenue engine-pipeline creation, enterprise sales cycles, closures, and renewals.

- Identify and penetrate high-priority manufacturing segments where Industry 4.0 adoption is accelerating.

- Build and lead an enterprise sales team targeting CEOs, CXOs, and factory leadership across India.

Customer Success & Support Excellence

- Build and scale a customer success and support organisation aligned with SLAs, NPS, retention, and expansion targets.

- Drive post-sales onboarding, adoption, and value realization to reduce churn and maximize upsell opportunities.

- Establish a closed-loop feedback system with product & engineering to continuously refine the platform.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Hire, coach, and mentor high-performance teams across sales, BD, support, and customer success.

- Instil a culture of ownership, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centric execution.

- Set up dashboards, performance reviews, forecasting rhythms, and continuous improvement mechanisms.

Executive Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the senior face of Leanworx to CEOs, manufacturing leaders, and strategic partners.

- Work closely with the founders on GTM strategy, pricing, enterprise deals, and investor communication.

- Represent Leanworx at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem platforms.

Growth, Expansion & Ecosystem Development

- Drive geographical expansion across major Indian manufacturing belts.

- Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, machine tool manufacturers, system integrators, and ecosystem enablers.

- Use competitive intelligence and customer insights to influence product roadmap, pricing, packaging, and GTM motions.

- Own departmental budgets and key metrics, including ARR, CAC, LTV, NRR, and customer health scores.

Candidate Profile

- Engineers (preferably MBAs) with 15+ years in sales, BD, or enterprise growth in national or regional roles within manufacturing tech, MES/ERP, machine tools, automation, or SaaS.

- Proven track record selling to CEOs/CXOs and scaling enterprise SaaS or industrial tech sales.

- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, Industry 4.0 trends, machine shop operations, and enterprise account management.

- Experience building teams from scratch and scaling processes across multiple geographies.

- Strong analytical, strategic, and execution-first mindset.

- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales automation tools.
