Role Overview:

As the BD Head - Infra Business (Road/Highway/WTP), you will spearhead the business development efforts for our infrastructure projects across Road, Highway, and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) sectors. Based in Kolkata, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to develop compelling proposals and ensure successful project execution.

Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our market presence, enhancing our reputation as a leading infrastructure provider, and delivering critical infrastructure solutions to communities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve targeted growth in the Road, Highway, and WTP sectors within the region.

- Identify and qualify potential projects through market research, networking, and industry events, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry stakeholders, fostering long-term partnerships.

- Lead the preparation of winning proposals, bids, and presentations, collaborating with technical teams to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

- Oversee the business development budget and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and effective utilization.

- Mentor and guide a team of business development professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional growth.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful business development strategies within the infrastructure sector.

- Proven track record of securing large-scale Road, Highway, and/or WTP projects, showcasing strong negotiation and closing skills.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

- Strong understanding of the infrastructure market, including industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Adaptable to on-site work requirements in Kolkata, with potential for travel within the region.

- Minimum 15-20 years of relevant experience in business development and project management within the infrastructure industry.
