Head Business Development (Retail Expansion)
Would manage Business Development / Property Acquisition / Retail Real Estate for Retail industry player
Role: Head BD - RBD and Projects
Reports to: Promoter
Scope: South India (as client is present in south india)
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad
Position Overview:
- Client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented professional to lead their Retail Business Development (RBD) and projects.
- In this role, you will be responsible for driving key initiatives, optimizing processes, and enhancing our retail footprint to ensure sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand our retail presence.
- Identify new market opportunities and assess competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
- Improve Rent OC%
Project Management:
- Lead and manage retail projects from conception through execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Help establish newer brands with best stores in key markets.
Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze the performance of retail initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Develop and enhance relationships with best-in-class franchisee partners.
Innovation and Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying best practices and innovative solutions.
- Implement new processes and tools to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Facilitate better store locations through the use of modern technology.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Education & Experience - Any Graduate / MBA with 12-20 years of experience in handling Business Development & Project management functions within a retail environment.
- Industry - Retail Industry, Apparel, Accessories (Time wear, Handbags, Jewellery), Footwear, Beauty / Cosmetics, QSR, Eyewear
- Experience in high streets is essential, should not be mall focused.
- Experience in managing Franchisee model.
- Opened 500-1000 sq ft stores
- Should have executed expansion plans for retail businesses across geographies in South India
