Description:

- Business Head Staffing.

- Location: Bangalore, India (On-site, Full-Time).

- Experience: 8-15 years.

- Reports to: COO, Peepal Consulting.

About Peepal Consulting:

Peepal Consulting is a strategic talent consulting and hiring partner with a 20-year legacy of trust, deep domain expertise, and consistent delivery.

We work with organisations across growth and transformation journeys, helping them solve critical talent challenges through thoughtful consulting, strong execution, and long-term partnerships.

As we expand into the next phase of growth, Staffing (Permanent Hiring and Contract Staffing) is a core pillar of Peepals 2026 expansion strategy built to be scalable, predictable, and enterprise-ready.

Role Snapshot:

We are looking for a Business Head Staffing (Permanent & Contract) to build, ramp up, and scale Peepals staffing business across both permanent hiring and contract staffing.

This is a senior commercial role with clear revenue responsibility and high visibility.

You will own the business development and growth charter for the staffing business including market strategy, client acquisition, commercial structuring, and revenue growth while working closely with delivery leadership to ensure strong execution and long-term client satisfaction.

This role reports directly to the COO and is ideal for someone who has built or scaled staffing businesses and wants to do it again with greater autonomy, backing, and ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Revenue Ownership:

- Own the revenue growth charter for Peepals Staffing business (Permanent & Contract).

- Build and manage a strong, high-quality sales pipeline across priority industries and client segments.

- Drive closures across:
Permanent hiring (specialist, leadership, and critical roles).
Contract staffing engagements (mid-market and enterprise).

- Forecast revenue, track performance, and bring predictability and discipline to the business.

- Balance short-term closures with long-term, annuity-style growth.

Go-To-Market & Market Focus:

- Define and sharpen target segments, industries, and client profiles for both permanent hiring and contract staffing.

- Design differentiated service offerings, commercials, and engagement models suited to each staffing motion.

- Identify opportunities for repeat business, cross-sell, expansion, and long-term partnerships.

- Represent Peepal in senior client conversations as a trusted advisor, not a transactional vendor.

Enterprise Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

- Own CXO, CHRO, TA Head, and Procurement-level relationships.

- Lead proposals, negotiations, commercials, and contract discussions across staffing engagements.

- Convert pilot or initial engagements into sustained, multi-month or multi-location partnerships.

- Leverage strong permanent-hiring relationships to expand into broader staffing engagements where relevant.

- Build long-term client partnerships anchored in trust, delivery quality, and commercial clarity.

Delivery Alignment & Business Governance:

- Work closely with delivery teams to align sales commitments with execution realities across both perm and contract staffing.

- Ensure clear intake processes, SLAs, timelines, and expectations are set upfront with clients.

- Act as the bridge between client expectations and internal delivery capability.

- Flag risks early and proactively manage escalations from a business and client standpoint.

Commercial Discipline & Risk Management:

- Own pricing strategy, discount guardrails, and margin protection across staffing offerings.

- Ensure contracts and Statements of Work are commercially sound and operationally feasible.

- Bring rigour to billing models, payment cycles, and contract structures.

- Maintain a strong understanding of compliance, workforce regulations, and client risk considerations relevant to staffing businesses.

Process, Reporting & Scale Readiness:

- Establish structured sales processes, reviews, and reporting for the Staffing business.

- Drive disciplined use of CRM and pipeline hygiene to ensure visibility and accountability.

- Build a scalable BD engine that can grow without chaos as volumes increase.

- Partner closely with the COO to ensure readiness for the next phase of scale.

Who Were Looking For:

Experience & Background:

- 8-15 years of experience in Permanent Hiring, Contract Staffing, or broader Staffing / Workforce Solutions, with a strong business development focus.

- Proven track record of selling and scaling staffing engagements, preferably with mid-to-large enterprises.

- Experience owning revenue targets, negotiating complex commercials, and managing margin-sensitive deals.

- Strong understanding of how staffing businesses actually operate not just how they are sold.

Skills & Mindset:

- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation capability.

- Ability to think strategically while staying deeply hands-on.

- Comfortable operating at CXO level with clients.

- Structured, disciplined, and data-aware without being bureaucratic.

- High ownership mindset takes responsibility for outcomes, not just activity.
