Responsibilities:
1. Market Development:
- Develop and expand the power market across the state, achieving the budgeted growth rate by acquiring new members/clients and servicing existing ones.
Regulatory Knowledge & Strategy Execution:
- Possess a strong understanding of Open Access Regulations and transactions.
- Develop and execute strategies for sales and marketing within the allotted geographical coverage.
Market Analysis:
- Research and formulate state-wise views on demand and supply along with price estimations.
- Identify and monitor open-access consumers across states.
- Analyse state tariff orders and open access regulations.
Business Development Activities:
- Execute business development initiatives and activities such as organizing workshops, conferences, and events at the state level to promote open access.
- Ensure regular interaction with state DISCOMs, RLDC, SLDC, Transco, Regulatory Commissions, and other stakeholders.
Client Coordination:
- Coordinate, assist, and address queries and concerns of members/clients on a day-to-day basis.
Market Tracking & Reporting:
- Track power market developments, including regulatory changes and competition.
- Prepare and report Management Information System (MIS) data.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Must be open to extensive traveling to engage with stakeholders (Regulatory Commissions, Utilities, Clients, Members, and industry associations).
Essential Knowledge and Expertise:
Power Market Expertise:
- Knowledge of power market trading, purchase, open access, power exchanges, RECs, ESCERTs, congestion management, regulatory & statutory provisions, etc.
- Sound understanding of legal/regulatory aspects related to open access.
Industry Experience:
- Experience in power/infrastructure sectors and commodity trading/securities trading.
- Exposure to commercial/purchase/project management functions
