Head - Business Development/In-Licensing - Sourcing & API Development - Animal Health

Role Overview

We are partnering with a leading Indian healthcare organization to identify a senior leader for its rapidly growing Animal Health business.

This role will be responsible for driving portfolio expansion through in-licensing, strategic partnerships and new product/technology identification. The individual will work closely with business leadership to evaluate market opportunities, engage with domestic and international partners, and enable commercialization of new products. Exposure to API sourcing and manufacturing feasibility will be an important part of the role, though the primary focus remains on building a strong future portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive in-licensing and business development initiatives for the Animal Health portfolio.

- Identify and evaluate new products, technologies and partnership opportunities.

- Build and manage relationships with domestic and international partners, licensors and suppliers.

- Assess commercial viability, market potential and portfolio fit for new opportunities.

- Work closely with Regulatory, R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial teams to support successful product commercialization.

- Support API evaluation and sourcing feasibility for identified opportunities.

- Contribute to long-term portfolio strategy and business growth initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

- 15-25 years of experience within Animal Health or Veterinary Pharmaceuticals.

- Strong experience in in-licensing, portfolio management, strategic business development or new product acquisition.

- Deep understanding of the Indian Animal Health market and competitive landscape.

- Experience evaluating products from both commercial and technical perspectives.

- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

- Exposure to API sourcing or manufacturing feasibility will be an advantage.

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences or Life Sciences; MBA preferred.
