About the opportunity

We are conducting a retained search for a senior Business Development leader on behalf of a well-capitalised financial services firm operating across lending, wealth, and institutional segments. The organisation is at an inflection point and this role is being created to own and accelerate its next phase of revenue growth.

This is a P&L-linked mandate with a direct line to the CXO, full autonomy over BD strategy, and the ability to build your own team. If you have spent the last decade converting relationships into revenue in the BFSI space and are looking for genuine ownership this is the conversation worth having.

What you will own:

- Define and execute the firm's business development strategy across target client segments banks, NBFCs, HNI/family offices, corporates

- Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, wallet expansion with existing relationships, and strategic partnerships

- Build and lead a high-performance BD team; set targets, cadence, and accountability frameworks

- Work cross-functionally with product, credit, and operations to ensure BD commitments translate into delivered outcomes

- Represent the firm at industry forums, conferences, and senior client conversations

What we are looking for:

- 10 - 18 years of progressive BD or client-facing experience within BFSI banking, NBFC, fintech, or wealth management preferred

- Demonstrated track record of revenue ownership: new logo wins, AUM growth, or partnership deal closures at scale

- Strong existing network across institutional, corporate, or HNI segments

- Comfort operating in unstructured, high-growth environments this is not a maintenance role

- MBA from a reputed institution preferred; not mandatory if the track record speaks for itself

Compensation:

Competitive with the market structured as fixed + variable linked to revenue targets. Details shared on qualification.
