Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Energy, or Business; MBA is a strong plus.
- Experience: 7+ years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in BESS, renewable energy, or industrial tech.
- Proven track record of closing large-scale (- 50 Cr+) deals in B2B environments.
- Deep familiarity with the Indian energy ecosystem, including SECI, NTPC, and DISCOMs.
Key Responsibilities:
Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution:
- Design and implement scalable GTM strategies for containerized BESS solutions and battery packs.
- Identify and prioritize key customer segments such as utilities, C&I consumers, microgrids, EPCs, and renewable developers.
- Develop market penetration plans tailored to Indian and select international regions.
Sales & Revenue Leadership
- Lead end-to-end sales efforts, from lead generation to closure of multi-crore deals.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing business development team.
- Own revenue targets, ensure consistent pipeline generation, and deliver predictable forecasting.
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Forge strategic collaborations with EPC firms, renewable energy developers, and system integrators.
- Explore JV opportunities, reseller partnerships, and government collaborations to enhance market access.
Customer Engagement & Key Accounts
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with DISCOMs, IPPs, C&I clients, and government agencies.
- Represent the company in tenders, RFQs, and high-stakes negotiations.
Market Intelligence & Product Strategy
- Monitor market trends, policy updates, and competitive movements in the BESS and energy landscape.
- Provide strategic input on pricing, product positioning, and feature enhancement based on customer and market feedback.
Reporting & Leadership Alignment
- Deliver timely business insights to the CEO and investors.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Expertise in energy storage technologies, EPC processes, and power infrastructure.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
- Well-established network across utilities, renewable developers, and C&I players.
- Willingness to travel and engage directly with CXO-level and technical stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, resilience, and strategic agility.
