- We need a Sales Professional for Senior leadership role focused on driving revenue, expanding market share, and positioning MCF Technology VRLA Batteries the reliable, cost-effective backup power choice for UPS systems in data centers.
- Person who has Strong network in India's data center industry (with India Data Center Association members), to help us grow big.
- This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and B2B consultative selling to large-scale data center operators.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Define and execute the overall sales and marketing strategy for MCF Technology VRLA batteries targeting data centers, co-locations, and hyper scalers and enterprise clients (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, CtrlS, NTT).
Product Marketing:
- Position VRLA batteries for critical UPS applications, emphasizing low maintenance, high reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Market Penetration:
- Identify business opportunities and grow market share in a competitive landscape facing challenges from competitors, focusing on cost- sensitive or specific high-performance applications.
Revenue Growth:
- Take ownership of sales targets, forecasting, and budgeting, ensuring high-level revenue growth
Colocation Providers: Target CtrlS, STT GDC India, NTT GlobalData Centers, Nxtra by Airtel, Equinix, Sify
Telecom & Enterprises: Pitch to Yotta, AdaniConneX, Digital Connexion, L&T Cloudfiniti
BFSI & Others : Close with banks, IT firms, and government projects needing reliable UPS backup
- Win big sales deals for batteries in different data center sectors:
- Use your contacts to sell in cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Pune.
- Handle sales numbers, negotiations, and prove our batteries are better (longer life, cheaper to run).
- Develop and execute business development plans to secure deals, including RFPs, tenders, and partnerships with OEMs like Eaton, Schneider, or Vertiv.
- Spearhead marketing initiatives: digital campaigns, trade shows (e.g., Data Centre World Asia), webinars, and content on battery lifecycle, TCO, and sustainability.
- Conduct market analysis on India's data center, competitor benchmarking (Exide, Amara Raja, Narada), and pricing strategies.
- Forge strategic alliances with EPC firms, system integrators, and channel partners to expand market share in Tier-1 cities (Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi-NCR).
- You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of this organization's presence within the Data Center market.
- You will be responsible to grow market of MCF VRLA Batteries and expand the company's footprint across the market.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred) or MBA; Specialization in sales.
- 15-20 years of B2B sales experience, specifically in the battery, energy storage, or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) sector, with a proven track record of 7+ years selling especially to data centers
- Deep knowledge of data center ecosystem: UPS sizing, rack-level batteries, lithium vs. VRLA comparisons, edge computing trends.
- Strong network in India's data center industry (e.g., India Data Center Association members).
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and data analytics tools.
- Working Hours/ Shift Timings: 10am to 7pm (6 days)
