Business Development Head (B2C) - Luxury Home Automation | Mumbai
Location: Mumbai (Field + Experience Center)
Travel: Regular travel across Mumbai + occasional travel across Maharashtra
Role Type: Full-time | High-ownership leadership role (hands-on)
Role summary:
- We're hiring a senior Business Development Head (B2C) to own Mumbai sales, with a strong preference for someone who is trusted in the architect & interior designer community and has deep, working relationships across studios and principals in Mumbai.
- Your core mission: turn relationships into a consistent referral pipeline, bring the right partners and clients into the Experience Center, and convert premium projects end-to-end.
- If architects and designers already pick up your calls-and trust you with their clients-you'll do well here.
What you'll own
Architect & Interior Designer Channel (Primary)
- Leverage your standing in the community to build a steady referral engine
- Strengthen relationships with architects/IDs through studio visits, walkthroughs, and collaborative planning
- Become the go-to person designers trust for timelines, feasibility, and premium client handling
- Create partner tools: demo journeys, quick pitch decks, sample scopes, referral tracking
Revenue & Closures (B2C)
- Own the full sales cycle: qualification - meetings - Experience Center demo proposal - negotiation - closure
- Drive monthly targets, forecasting, and conversion discipline
- Handle premium homeowner conversations with polish and clarity
Experience Center Growth
- Run high-quality partner walkthroughs and client demos
- Organize small curated meets (architect/ID evenings, studio sessions) to keep the pipeline warm
- Ensure the Experience Center becomes a consistent conversion lever
Process + Team Building
- Build a repeatable sales engine: CRM hygiene, follow-up cadence, proposal flow, lead stages
- Coordinate with the technical team for accurate scoping and smooth handover
- As scale increases, help hire/mentor additional sales resources in Mumbai
What we're looking for (must-haves)
- 7-12 years in premium solution sales/BD in home automation or adjacent interior/architecture ecosystem
- Strong, active Mumbai network with architects & interior designers where there is genuine trust and repeat engagement
- Track record of closing high-value, designer-influenced residential projects
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (premium clientele)
- Comfortable with on-ground meetings, studio visits, and frequent follow-ups
- Startup mindset: ownership, speed, and multi-hat execution
Bonus points
- Exposure to lighting automation, curtains/blinds, HVAC integration, security/CCTV, access control, networking, AV/home theater
- Experience selling to luxury villas / high-end apartments / premium clientele
- Prior experience building a channel/referral pipeline from scratch
