Role: Head of Business & P&L(Fintech/Edtech)

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

Looking for a Business Unit Head / P&L Head who can own the business end-to-end, drive revenue growth, expand our product offerings, and enable operational excellence across the board. This person must be entrepreneurial, analytical, and execution-focused-someone who is comfortable working in a hyper-growth startup and can partner closely with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L Ownership & Strategic Growth:

- Own the P&L for the assigned business vertical(s) and drive revenue, profitability, and cost efficiencies.

- Build data-driven business strategies aligned with The Companies mission of enabling financial independence.

- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and monetisation streams.

- Set quarterly business goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Work closely with Product, Operations, Sales, Tech, Marketing, Finance, and Community teams for seamless execution.

- Partner with Founders to align business direction and new initiatives.

- Manage and scale high-performing cross-functional teams.

Operational Excellence & MIS:

- Build, analyse, and own complete MIS dashboards for business performance.

- Ensure smooth execution of processes across the business unit.

- Streamline workflows to optimise performance and reduce operational gaps.

Execution & Problem-Solving:

- Strong ability to break complex problems into actionable tasks.

- Drive on-ground execution of new initiatives from concept to delivery.

- Take ownership in fast-changing startup environments with a bias for action.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 7-12 years of experience in Business Operations, P&L Management, or Business Leadership roles.

- Proven ability to own and grow a P&L in a high-growth or startup environment.

- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in data modelling, MIS, and dashboards.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

- Experience in EdTech, FinTech, or consumer-tech is a strong plus.

- Entrepreneurial, execution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
