Role Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished retail leader to head Multi-Brand Retail Stores across India. This role will be responsible for defining national retail strategy, driving store expansion, ensuring operational excellence, and elevating customer experience across both Full-Price and Outlet store formats. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing multi-city retail operations, strong business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with leading brands to deliver high-impact retail performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retail Strategy & Expansion:

- Develop the national retail strategy, covering expansion, modernization, and performance improvement.

- Lead new store rollouts across high-street, mall, and tier-2/3 markets.

- Conduct location feasibility studies, competition benchmarking, and assortment planning for new markets.

- Build a scalable retail blueprint aligned with brand growth ambitions.

2. Store Operations & P&L Ownership:

- Own the P&L of the multi-brand retail network, driving profitability and operational efficiency.

- Oversee daily store operations including SOP adherence, staffing, customer service, training, and audits.

- Implement systems for inventory accuracy, shrinkage control, replenishment, and stock-turn optimization.

- Ensure operational excellence across Full-Price and Outlet stores.

3. Retail Technology & Innovation:

- Drive adoption of tech-enabled solutions including:

Endless aisle

Assisted selling

Omni-channel checkouts

Inventory visibility tools

- Work with internal tech teams to streamline workflows and improve customer conversion.

4. Brand Partnerships & Merchandising:

- Collaborate with leading brand partners on:

Assortment planning

Product launches

Visual Merchandising (VM)

Category growth and innovation

- Ensure stores reflect strong brand identity and storytelling.

5. Business Performance & KPIs:

- Drive key commercial metrics including:

Conversion rate

Average Transaction Value (ATV)

Stock turns

Markdown efficiency

Throughput and store profitability

- Develop dashboards and review mechanisms to measure store-wise performance.

6. Team Leadership & Culture Building:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing retail field team.

- Drive a culture of accountability, customer obsession, and operational discipline.

- Implement continuous training and development programs for store teams.

7. Customer Experience Excellence:

- Ensure superior in-store experience, consistent brand storytelling, and high service standards.

- Develop customer engagement frameworks and loyalty interventions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 10-15 years of experience in retail operations, multi-brand stores, or large-format retail environments.

- Strong background in P&L leadership, retail expansion, and multi-city store operations.

- Experience working with large global or national brands.

- Deep understanding of retail metrics, merchandising, and consumer behavior.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
