We are seeking a results-driven Head - B2B Sales to drive the distribution and sales of fixed-income products across institutional and semi-institutional investor segments. This strategic role involves expanding our investor base, driving credit sales, and actively engaging with key stakeholders such as institutional investors, ultra-HNIs, wealth managers, and corporate treasuries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed-income product sales, including corporate bonds, NCDs, debentures, and structured debt instruments. They should be self-starter with a proven ability to close high-value transactions, support deal syndication, and build long-term investor relationships. Comfort with a high-performance environment and willingness to travel is essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end sales cycle: Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close sales of fixed-income products including:
- Corporate Bonds (Investment-Grade & High-Yield)
- Non-Convertible Debentures (Public & Private)
- Structured Notes / MLDs
- Subordinated / Perpetual Debt Instruments
- Grow Investor Base: Build and manage strong B2B relationships with:
- Institutional Investors (Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, AIFs)
- Wealth Management firms and IFAs
- Family Offices & Ultra-HNIs
- Corporate Treasuries & Wealth Management Platforms
Active Deal Syndication:
- Pitch live deals and upcoming issuances
- Drive investor participation and lead book-building process
- Provide real-time feedback on pricing and appetite
- Revenue & Target Ownership:
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales and revenue KPIs
- Ensure repeat transactions and long-term engagement from key investor accounts
Market Intelligence:
- Track market movements, investor behavior, and product trends
- Offer insights into origination and structuring teams to refine offerings
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with structuring, legal, and compliance teams to ensure smooth transaction execution
- Travel as needed to strengthen relationships and close deals
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience in fixed income sales / capital markets / DCM / wealth distribution
- Strong network of institutional, HNI, and corporate investors in fixed-income space
- Demonstrated ability to close high-value transactions and meet sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills
- Solid understanding of SEBI/RBI regulations, exchange listings, and debt market infra (e.g., NSDL, BSE/NSE)
- Background in NBFCs, investment banks, wealth-tech or fintech platforms preferred
- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification
