Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Sales to lead our sales and business development efforts in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and leading a high-performance sales team. This role will be pivotal in expanding our client base, enhancing market presence, and achieving ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive AUM (Assets Under Management) growth, targeting HNIs, family offices, corporates, and institutional clients.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client focus.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with wealth advisors, banks, and distribution channels.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to position offerings effectively.
- Revenue Targets: Set and achieve sales and AUM growth targets while ensuring compliance with SEBI and other regulatory guidelines.
- Product Positioning: Collaborate with the investment and marketing teams to effectively communicate investment philosophy and product offerings to clients and prospects.
- Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular updates to the leadership team on sales performance, pipeline development, and market insights using CRM tools and data- driven approaches.
Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador for Asset Management, representing the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree in Finance, Marketing, or a related field from a reputed institute.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in sales/business development within asset management, wealth management, or financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Track Record: Proven success in driving AUM growth and managing large client portfolios, preferably with HNIs and institutional clients.
- Network: Strong existing network of HNI clients, family offices, and financial intermediaries in Mumbai and across India.
Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of investment products (PMS, AIFs, mutual funds, etc.) and financial markets.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SEBI regulations and compliance requirements in the Indian financial services industry.
Location: Must be based in Mumbai.
