Roles and Responsibilities:
We are looking for Head of Material Management (MM) and Warehousing for Supply Chain.
We seek a highly motivated, analytical, customer centered, creative professional to join our team to help ideate, execute and drive programs while partnering with stakeholders.
In this role, Youll Get to:
- This role entails designing, governing, optimizing, and automating warehouse process, policies and controls with the objective to reduce fulfilment TAT, reduce costs, increase flexibility and business support.
- This role entails entire demand-supply planning and forecast for the entire organization.
- This will involve delivering transformative initiatives through cross functional collaboration while balancing execution requirements and driving rigorous compliances.
- Manage & mentor a team
Deliverables (key responsibilities):
Warehouse Transformation and Governance:
- Design warehouse and logistics process, policies, procedures, and compliances to maintain standards of safety, productivity in daily operations and high degree of controls.
- Design and implement standardization of warehouse quality across LOBs, hygiene, infrastructure, space optimization, safety standards, surveillance.
- Documenting and reviewing best practices with industry and global benchmarks.
- Design of warehouse trainings, guidelines, roles & responsibilities, people continuous assessments for warehouse agencies and internal stakeholders
- Governance with 3PL partners - Define standard KPIs, SLAs, governance framework, checklists across vendors and internal stakeholders and ensure rigorous governances on these to maintain consistent scores.
- Establish and drive the entire automation for warehousing and logistics processes.
- Selection/design, driving adoption, baselining results of industry tools.
- Roadmap for automating manual tasks, reconciliations, tools such as WMS, TMS
- Design of tools and processes for end-to-end serial number / lot number visibility for inventory, assets.
- Close engagement and coordination with cross functional teams across business, warehouse operations, technical teams to deliver the above results.
- Embedding new functional capabilities in people and processes for continuous improvements
Material Planning Demand and supply side:
- Design and implement standardization of material management process quality across LOBs.
- Documenting and reviewing best practices with industry and global benchmarks.
- Capital work in process (CWIP) monitoring.
- Governance on aged inventory and creating a mitigating plan.
- Lead demand planning across LOBs and ensure timely supply delivery and governance.
- Drive analysis and methods for anticipating demand, building resilience and flexibility to changes in demand.
- Drive automation for smooth functioning of process and efficiencies
Compliances:
- Ensuring compliances wrt warehouse operations, packaging, and waste disposal
- Ensuring all applicable statutory compliances are adhered.
- Ensuring all custom duty compliances are adhered.
Scrap disposal:
- Design and drive scrap disposal process from end to end
- Implement ESG way of working.
Custom Duty:
- Ensure smooth clearance of imported goods.
- Ensure correct change in tariff (CTH) calcification.

Educational Level:
PG MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management (preferred) form tier 1 institute
Working Experience:
- 12-18 yrs. of experience in Material management and demand-supply planning
- Multi geography experience with minimum of 5 warehouse responsibility.
