Head/Assistant Vice President - Finance - CA

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to join our Pune office as the Head/AVP of Finance. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the strategic backbone of our financial operations, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of financial planning, rigorous control mechanisms, and high-level analytical reporting. You will work closely with the executive leadership team and cross-functional department heads to translate complex data into actionable business insights. By driving financial discipline and optimizing resource allocation, you will directly influence the company's growth trajectory, profitability, and long-term fiscal health in an increasingly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic growth objectives.

- Perform deep-dive financial analysis and variance reporting to provide the management team with clear visibility into operational performance and cost-efficiency.

- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions, capital allocation, and new market entry strategies.

- Strengthen the internal financial control framework to mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain the integrity of financial data.

- Partner with business unit leaders to identify revenue leakage and cost-saving opportunities, thereby enhancing overall margins and operational excellence.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting, with a proven ability to manage complex P&L responsibilities for large-scale business units.

- Advanced proficiency in Financial Modelling and Variance Analysis, utilizing data to influence executive decision-making and long-term planning.

- Strong command over Financial Control and governance, ensuring that all reporting standards meet rigorous internal and external audit requirements.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial narratives to non-finance stakeholders and board members.

- A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8 to 16 years of progressive experience in high-growth environments.

- High degree of adaptability and professional maturity, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment based in Pune.
