Responsibilities
Performance Management:
- Support to drive the performance appraisal process and provide conceptual and system administrative support and manage communication and required follow-ups.
- Work closely with business to enable them with end-to-end process
- C&B and retention proposals
- Align with overall guidelines issued at a group level
Audit and Compliance:
- Monitor all compliances under Factory's Act 1948 and other applicable statutory aspects
- Work with compliance and other HR vendors
- Manage compliance data, reports, and query resolution for audits
People Analytics & Digitization:
- Help to maintain HR databases accurately in HRMS tool
- Monitor and report all HR Employee lifecycle processes
- Publish periodic HR Dashboards
- Track and report all major HR metrics
- Employee data hygiene
Employee Engagement & L&D:
- Drive employee engagement at BU level with Action Planning
- Enhance EES on y-on-y basis
- Survey administration
- Periodic communication on joining announcements, circulars, etc.
- Execute end-to-end R&R process at BU level
Industrial Relations:
Developing and Implementing Policies:
- Creating and enforcing policies and procedures related to employee relations, labor relations, and workplace safety.
Conflict Resolution:
- Mediating disputes between employees and management, investigating and resolving grievances, and addressing employee complaints.
Labor Law Compliance:
- Ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant labor laws and regulations.
Negotiation and Collective Bargaining:
Representing the organization in negotiations with labor unions and facilitating collective bargaining agreements.
Employee Relations:
- Fostering positive relationships between employees and management, promoting employee engagement, and developing strategies to improve employee morale and productivity.
Communication:
- Facilitating communication between management and employees, ensuring clear and consistent messaging regarding workplace policies and procedures.
Training and Development:
- Developing and delivering training programs on labor relations topics, and providing guidance and support to management on employee relations issues.
Monitoring and Analysis:
- Tracking labor relations trends, identifying potential issues, and recommending solutions to management.
- Talent Management
- Talent retention of top 20% talent pool
- Work with leaders on Organisation Leadership Review at across levels for critical roles
- IDP for N-1/2/3 level talent
- Succession planning for key & business critical roles
Talent Acquisition:
- Hiring for specific verticals within BU with 30% utilisation
- Maintain high Quality of hire
- Introduce talent assessment methods and coach business leaders
- Ensure 100% manning for staff and contract workforce
- Managing and engaging manpower vendors
- Drive IJP and referral programs across organisation
- Work collaboratively with the team and with cross functional leaders
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- MBA / MSW in HR from a reputed institute.
- Full-time education throughout.
Experience & Exposure Needed:
- Experience Required: 15-22 years total experience
- Minimum 8-10 years in core Industrial Relations
- Experience in multi-plant manufacturing
- Experience handling unions, negotiations & settlements is mandatory
- Strong HR leadership experience in manufacturing plants, preferably foundry / heavy engineering.
Proven experience handling:
- Union negotiations & settlements
- Collective Bargaining agreements
- Charter of Demands (COD)
- Wage bill analysis and manpower cost
- L&D exposure
- Engagement reports and NPS metrics
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability.
- Excellent communication (Tamil mandatory).
