We are looking for Head of Asset Management & Maintenance Lease for one of the leading Japanese financial leasing organizations. You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management and monitoring of all lease assets (Auto) during and after the lease period.

Experience: 15-20 years of experience in NBFC/Banking/Leasing Operations.

Reports to: Business Head


Team Handling/ IC: Team Handling Role (2-5)


Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure smooth operations of assets under management, as per agreements/SLAs.

- Manage grievance handling and escalation resolution related to lease services.

- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors/dealers for asset servicing, including negotiation of discounts, credit periods, and goodwill discounts.

- Oversee the logistics process from asset pick-up to delivery, ensuring seamless movement and timely servicing.

- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and dealers for service execution in line with contractual obligations.

- Manage the sale of lease return assets, ensuring appropriate disposal and documentation control.

- Oversee settlement of dealer bills as per negotiated terms and facilitate payment processing.

- Expand and onboard new dealers into the network to strengthen the business ecosystem.

- Maintain and update MIS reports in line with process requirements.

- Work closely with used dealers for bidding and selling lease-returned Auto products.

- Ensure proper documentation management for lease return assets and those sold.

- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact regulatory, financial, or reputational aspects of the business.

- Work towards the learning and development of the team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and growth.

Relevant Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with a problem-solving approach.

- In-depth knowledge of asset management, leasing operations, and vendor negotiations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.

- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance related to asset leasing and financial operations.

- Ability to adapt to fast-changing business environments and drive operational efficiency.

- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including vendor and dealer partnerships.

- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to address service-related grievances effectively.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Experience handling teams across different locations.

- Experience in vendor management, lease asset disposal, and documentation control.
