About the Role:

A fast-growing, global MedTech organization is looking for a visionary and hands-on Head of Artificial Intelligence to lead its AI strategy and execution. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end ownership of AI vision, roadmap, model development, clinical validation, and regulatory compliance for AI-powered medical devices used at scale globally.

The role involves close collaboration with clinical, regulatory, product, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver production-grade, compliant AI solutions that create real-world healthcare impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the long-term AI vision and multi-year roadmap aligned with business and clinical goals

- Lead the complete AI/ML lifecycle: data strategy, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring

- Build and deploy advanced computer vision models optimized for edge/offline medical devices

- Drive regulatory readiness and compliance (FDA, CE, EU AI Act, ISO standards)

- Partner with clinical teams on validation studies and real-world evidence generation

- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing AI/ML team

- Drive innovation, patents, publications, and external thought leadership

Must-Have Requirements

- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with leadership exposure

- Strong background in Healthcare / MedTech AI (medical imaging preferred)

- Deep expertise in Computer Vision (CNNs, Vision Transformers, segmentation, classification, XAI)

- Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, ML pipelines, Docker, REST APIs

- Proven experience deploying AI in regulated medical devices (FDA 510(k), CE marking)

- Strong understanding of Good ML Practices, EU AI Act, ISO 13485, IEC 62304

- Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, founder-led environments
