Job Summary

The Head - Architectural Design leads the architectural design function, delivering strategic direction and overseeing all design coordination for building and township projects. This role drives high-quality, innovative, and commercially viable solutions that align with business goals.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) required; postgraduate degree in Architecture or Design preferred.

- Minimum 15 years of experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, Photoshop, and related design tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Strategy

- Provide overarching design direction for all projects, aligning with brand strategy, business objectives, and market demands.

- Ensure compliance with statutory norms (e.g., Haryana and Punjab bylaws) and lead collaborations with international architects and consultants.

- Spearhead project initiation, including scope definition, timelines, budgets, and design briefs.

Project Design Management

- Oversee multiple projects from concept to completion, upholding quality, innovation, and internal standards.

- Review and refine concepts, schematics, detailed drawings, and GFC packages using AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, and similar tools.

- Drive design for new site acquisitions, covering conceptualization, prefeasibility studies, regulatory strategy, and inputs for business plans.

Coordination & Approvals

- Manage end-to-end design workflow: concept development, coordination, submissions, and construction documentation.

- Collaborate with architects, structural, MEP, and other consultants to deliver timely, error-free drawings.

- Cultivate strong relationships with consultants and statutory authorities.

Quality, Compliance & Value Engineering

- Deliver designs that meet market expectations, cost targets, constructability, and future expansion needs.

- Incorporate design flexibility for site conditions and regulatory changes.

- Conduct milestone reviews to ensure feasibility and compliance.

Stakeholder & Management Interface

- Serve as the key design spokesperson for senior management, reporting on progress, risks, and decisions.

- Translate business strategies into executable design directives.

Team Leadership

- Build and lead a high-performing design team through coaching, mentoring, and a culture of creativity and accountability.

- Champion best practices in BIM, sustainability, and emerging technologies.
