Head - Application Development - NBFC/Banking/Financial Services

Role Summary:

- Lead the application development function to design, build, and scale core lending, digital, and enterprise applications for the group.

- Drive technology innovation, platform modernization, and high-quality delivery, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Strategy & Architecture:

- Define and execute the application development roadmap aligned to business growth and digital strategy.

- Lead architecture for core platforms including:

1. Loan Origination System (LOS)

2. Loan Management System (LMS)

3. Collections & CRM platforms

- Drive API-first, microservices-based, and cloud-native architectures.

Development & Delivery Excellence:

- Lead end-to-end delivery of application development and enhancements.

- Collaborate & Ensure adoption of Agile/DevSecOps practices for faster and reliable releases.

- Drive code quality, testing automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of all technology initiatives.

- Build and enhance digital channels (web, mobile, partner integrations).

- Collaborate with business teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

- Enable API-led ecosystem connectivity and open architecture.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

- Build and lead teams across engineering, QA, and delivery.

- Partner with business, PMO, infrastructure, and security teams.

- Manage external vendors, product partners, and system integrators.

Profile:

15-20+ years in application development within NBFC/Banking/Financial Services.

Strong experience with:

1. Lending platforms (LOS/LMS) CRM, Collections

2. Digital applications and APIs

3. Cloud and microservices architecture

- Proven track record in leading large engineering teams and complex programs, Good understanding of RBI regulations and financial services compliance.
