Head - Ancillary Development

Position Overview:

You will spearhead the supplier development and commodity strategy across Plastics, NVH, Engine, Sheet Metal, Electronics, and Vehicle Interiors. As the strategic linchpin, you'll define cross-category roadmaps, standardise components for scale, and ensure capacity readiness aligned with NPD timelines.

In this transformation-focused role, you'll tackle critical supply-chain challenges: accelerating localization, securing cost-competitive sources, mitigating geopolitical and capacity risks, and embedding robust quality systems. Your leadership will directly influence time-to-market and program profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and drive the end-to-end supplier development strategy across multiple commodity streams

- Champion localization, import substitution, and value-engineering for sustained cost leadership

- Onboard and audit suppliers against QCDDM metrics, APQP/PPAP standards, and ESG goals

- Align sourcing roadmaps with new product development milestones and ramp-up targets

- Lead cross-functional risk assessments, ensuring compliance with quality, finance, and legal standards

- Consolidate supplier base globally and implement should-cost models to optimise spend

- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of commodity experts
