Role & Responsibilities :
- Lead the analytics and data function, defining the overall analytics strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership and business teams to identify high-impact opportunities where data and analytics can drive revenue, profitability, customer growth, and operational efficiency.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of data analysts, BI professionals, data scientists, and/or analytics managers.
- Develop and track business KPIs, dashboards, MIS, and management reporting to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Translate complex business problems into analytical frameworks, hypotheses, and actionable insights.
- Own the development of advanced analytics, predictive models, segmentation, forecasting, and experimentation initiatives where relevant.
- Establish strong standards for data quality, governance, reporting accuracy, and analytics processes.
- Work closely with Data Engineering/Technology teams to improve data availability, architecture, pipelines, and analytics infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and processes, reducing manual effort and improving reporting turnaround time.
- Present insights and recommendations to CXOs and senior stakeholders in a clear, business-oriented manner.
- Drive a culture of self-service analytics and data literacy across the organization.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate BI, analytics, AI, and visualization tools.
- Manage analytics projects from problem definition through implementation, measurement, and business impact.
- Define team goals, hiring plans, performance expectations, and professional development programs.
- Ensure analytics initiatives have measurable business outcomes and continuously demonstrate ROI from data investments.
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- 7-12 years of overall experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Product Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience managing analytics teams or leading large, cross-functional analytics initiatives.
- Proven experience working directly with senior leadership/CXOs and influencing business strategy through data.
- Strong understanding of SQL, data analysis, BI/visualization tools, and analytics methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Python, R, Excel, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/data pipelines, cloud platforms, and modern data architecture.
- Experience building and managing KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, forecasting, segmentation, experimentation, and performance analytics.
- Ability to convert ambiguous business problems into structured analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand P&L, revenue drivers, customer metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and develop high-performing analytics teams.
- Experience in using AI/ML or GenAI for business analytics would be an advantage.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
