Our Client a leading Wealth Management Firm backed by marquee Investor is looking for Head of Alternatives

Location: Mumbai/ Bengaluru

Role Summary:

The Head of Alternatives will lead the strategy, investment, and management of alternative asset classes, including private equity, Fixed Income, hedge funds, infrastructure, and other non-traditional investments. This individual will be responsible for driving the performance of the alternatives portfolio while ensuring alignment with the organization's overall investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for alternative investments aligned with the firm's broader investment objectives.

- Identify emerging trends and opportunities within alternative asset classes to enhance portfolio diversification and returns.

- Build and maintain relationships with external fund managers, advisors, and other stakeholders in the alternatives space.

Portfolio Management

- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and monitoring of alternative investment opportunities.

- Lead due diligence efforts on potential investments, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.

- Continuously monitor and assess portfolio performance, making recommendations for rebalancing or adjustments.

Team Leadership

- Build and manage a high-performing team dedicated to alternative investments.

- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.

- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the department.

- Present insights, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.

- Ensure transparency and clarity in communications regarding alternative investment strategies and performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

- CA/MBA

- 10+ years of experience in alternative investments, including direct investments and fund management.

- Proven track record of managing large, diversified alternative portfolios.

- Deep understanding of private equity, Fixed Income, hedge funds, and infrastructure investments.

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
