
Job Description - Senior Manager, Product (ULIP & Investment Marketing)
1. Role Purpose:
We are looking for a passionate, market-aware, investment-savvy Senior Manager to elevate HDFC Life's ULIP business through smarter customer engagement, sharper investment narratives, and thoughtful end-to-end lifecycle management.
This role is designed for a strategic thinker who understands markets, loves decoding investment trends, and can weave compelling stories around funds that keep customers invested year after year.

- You own the entire ULIP lifecycle, ensuring customers stay engaged, informed, and confident about staying with HDFC Life.
3. Key Responsibilities:
A. Investment Marketing & Fund Promotion:
- Build strong, relatable narratives around HDFC Life's investment philosophy, fund performance and market views.
- Create periodic fund insights, investment outlook notes, and storytelling-based content for customers and distributors.
- Promote focus funds strategically through data-backed communication campaigns.
- Work closely with Investment/IC/Finance teams to translate market trends into actionable, customer-friendly communication.
B. Market Insights & Strategy:
- Maintain a strong pulse on equity, debt, hybrid markets and macro-economic developments.
- Translate market movements into simplified insights for leadership, distributors, and customers.
- Benchmark ULIP funds and propositions against competitors to identify differentiation opportunities.
- Support product refresh recommendations aligned to market cycles and customer expectations.
- Support distribution channels with crisp training content, investment narratives, and competitive positioning.
4. Required Domain Expertise:
A. Understanding of Markets:
- Strong grasp of equity and debt markets, macro trends, interest rate cycles, asset allocation and risk-return dynamics.
- Ability to simplify market movements and explain fund performance drivers clearly.
B. Customer Lifecycle & Investment Communication:
- Experience in designing lifecycle journeys and investment-led retention strategies.
- Ability to craft engaging, trustworthy communication that resonates with diverse customer profiles.
5. Experience & Qualifications:
- 5 - 10 years of experience in product management, investment communication, or financial product marketing.
- Strong understanding of market-linked products (MFs, ETFs, Hybrid Funds).
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Marketing or related field preferred.
