Senior/Chief Manager - Sales Strategy (Direct Sales) Location : Mumbai (HO) Qualification : MBA mandatory. Life insurance experience required Experience : 3+ years post MBA for Senior Manager & 5+ years for Chief Manager Department : Direct Sales Reports to : AVP - Direct Sales Job Summary : - The individual acts as the single point of contact for driving branch-level performance across sales, product mix optimization, attrition management, productivity enhancement, and channel success. - This role also involves managing key stakeholders and leading automation initiatives and strategic projects to improve operational efficiency and customer experience within the insurance sector. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Revenue Generation: - Drive branch sales targets across all insurance product categories including annuity, term and other insurance products. - Monitor and improve product mix to ensure profitability and alignment with customer needs. - Implement sales campaigns (walk-in & non walk-in) and initiatives to boost cross-selling and upselling. Attrition & Retention Management: - Track and analyze customer attrition trends; develop strategies to retain high-value customers. - Collaborate with ops and other teams to design campaigns and other programs. Productivity & Performance: - Monitor productivity and implement performance improvement plans. - Use data-driven insights to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency. - Conduct regular performance reviews with leadership, branch visits and coaching sessions. Channel Success & Integration: - Collaborate with Ops teams to align channel strategy with ops goals. Stakeholder Management: - Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including product, operations, compliance, and technology teams. - Act as a liaison between branch teams and senior leadership to ensure alignment on strategic goals. Automation & Project Leadership: - Identify opportunities for process automation and digital transformation within branch sales. - Lead and manage strategic projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes. - Collaborate with technology and process excellence teams to implement innovative solutions. Qualifications & Experience: - Degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred). - 3+ years of experience in insurance operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record in sales management, customer service, and team leadership. - Experience in stakeholder management and project execution, preferably with exposure to automation tools and methodologies.
