What are we looking for?
- We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in IFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts) to support its successful implementation across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills and the ability to collaborate across finance, actuarial, IT, and project management teams.
What does the job entail?
- Supporting the IFRS 17 implementation project, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyzing and interpreting IFRS 17 technical requirements and translating them into practical implementation steps.
- Working closely with external consultants to understand and accurately provide data requirements.
- Supporting parallel runs, dry runs, and testing phases, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Liaising with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Work exp:
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance finance, accounting, or actuarial roles, preferably with hands-on involvement in IFRS 17 implementation or financial reporting change projects.
Essential Qualification:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and actuarial concepts.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 engines (e.g., Moody's AXIS, Oracle IFRS 17, SAS).
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
