
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT :
Datalabs is the Analytics wing of HDFC Life. It comprises of two core teams - Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Predictive Modelling. AI solves complex business problems and have designed some of the best tools like Chat bot, Facial recognition, RPA etc.
The Predictive Modelling team is responsible for building state of the art predictive solutions that address consumer needs across life cycle interactions. A variety of solutions like Predictive behaviours, Automated Underwriting, Product recommendation Engines, Hyper Personalization, Scorecard designs have been designed and implemented by the business.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Incumbent will be responsible for formulating and executing the distribution strategy, providing analytical support to senior management and managing several high impact strategic initiatives.
The job involves creating automated dashboards to track various parameters, planning and forecasting budgets, coordinating with key stakeholders across Sales channels, Branch, Business Insights, Business Planning, Investor Relations, Actuary, Strategy, Marketing and HR.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Formulate Overall Distribution Strategy of the Organisation. Drive tactical initiatives and key projects for aiding growth of Sales Channels
2. Preparing Business Plan, forecasting and analysing performance trends across parameters
3. Providing actionable insights to channels on areas of improvement
4. Owning various business management processes by preparing reports, organising sessions, taking minutes and completing areas of delivery
5. Drive cost optimization initiatives across sales channels
6. Provide support to focused distribution strategy related projects
7. Prepare presentations for senior leadership for internal and external events
8. Provide on-demand analytical support to Senior Leadership
9. Develop end to end solutions including understanding the business need, aggregate & explore data, build and validate predictive modelling using the Machine Language approaches.
10. Communicate the model results & insights and plan out the communication strategy in consultation with business using A/B techniques and Design of Experiments.
11. Track the model effectiveness and feed the learnings to finetune the models.
12. Research new tools, techniques & platforms to build robust solutions.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding of the Life Insurance Industry, especially Distribution and Lines of Business.
- Proficiency in MS office and tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good at creating Dashboards & Automating Excels
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Data interpretation, statistical& analytical skills (Machine Learning & AI techniques)
- Eagerness to discover new methods of data management and learning new tools
- Multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- (MBA from Tier1 college preferred)
