HDB Financial Services - Collection Manager - Commercial Vehicle Segment

We are looking for a seasoned Collection Manager to drive bucket-wise collections, Loss on Sale recoveries, and overall portfolio health for the Commercial Vehicle (CV) business. This role will ensure efficient manpower deployment, strong field collections oversight, and adherence to all compliance and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive Bkt-wise collections and recovery on Loss on Sale (LOS) within the Commercial Vehicle portfolio.

- Ensure high collection efficiency and timely achievement of monthly collection targets.

- Focus on early delinquencies, non-starter cases, and improving revenue recovery.

- Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective action plans to maintain a healthy book.

- Lead and supervise a team of Collection Associates to ensure complete portfolio coverage as per CAPE norms.

- Train and guide team members to improve productivity, compliance, and case management.

- Ensure adequate field manpower deployment aligned with portfolio requirements.

- Ensure 100% Mobile App usage across field teams, with accurate and timely trail/feedback updates.

- Ensure timely and compliant repossession of assets following SOPs.

- Oversee daily collection deposition with zero delays or discrepancies.

- Coordinate with agencies, vendors, and legal teams for complex or escalated cases.

- Meet delinquent customers to negotiate settlements, understand repayment challenges, and drive closure.

- Initiate and track legal actions for critical or high-risk accounts.

- Identify asset deployment and take corrective actions where required.

- Manage overall cost efficiency and operational expenses within defined limits.

- Strengthen internal controls and ensure audit readiness across all collection processes.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- 5-7 years of experience in Collections for the Tractor / CV product (mandatory).

- Graduate or Postgraduate in Marketing or any related field.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- High level of self-drive, commitment, and enthusiasm for field operations.

- Good understanding of asset-based financing, repossession processes, legal recovery, and delinquency management.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate field performance and portfolio trends.
