Job Overview

The Collection Manager - CV will be responsible for managing end-to-end collection and recovery activities for the Commercial Vehicle portfolio, with a strong focus on bucket-wise collections, loss-on-sale recovery, portfolio quality, and compliance.

The role involves leading a team of collection associates, ensuring effective field coverage, and driving collection efficiency while maintaining operational and legal discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Collection & Recovery Management:

- Drive bucket-wise collection efficiency across the Commercial Vehicle portfolio.

- Manage recovery of Loss on Sale (LOS) and maximize realizations.

- Ensure focused action on non-starters and chronic delinquent accounts.

- Identify delinquent cases, plan asset deployment, and conduct customer follow-ups.

Team & Field Operations Management:

- Lead and manage a team of Collection Associates, ensuring productivity and coverage.

- Ensure adequate manpower deployment in line with CAPE norms.

- Monitor daily field activities and optimize routes and workloads.

Process, Compliance & Controls:

- Ensure 100% usage of mobile collection apps with accurate trails, receipts, and feedback.

- Ensure timely and accurate cash/cheque deposition with zero delays.

- Initiate and follow through on legal actions for critical and high-risk cases.

- Ensure repossession of assets is conducted strictly as per approved SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Portfolio Health & Cost Management:

- Maintain a healthy portfolio through proactive collection strategies.

- Monitor collection costs and drive effective cost management without impacting recoveries.

- Track and analyze collection performance metrics and take corrective actions where required.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Bucket-wise collection efficiency

- Reduction in delinquency and NPAs

- Loss on Sale recovery

- Legal and repossession compliance

- Team productivity and coverage

- Cost-to-collection ratio

Desired Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of Commercial Vehicle / Tractor finance collections.

- Experience handling bucket collections, repossessions, and legal escalations.

- Strong people management and field execution skills.

- High level of self-drive, ownership, and result orientation.

- Good communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive customer situations.

Education & Experience:

Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Marketing or any discipline.

Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
