Role Overview:
The Collection Manager CV is responsible for driving bucket-wise collections and recovery, managing loss on sale, and maintaining a healthy commercial vehicle portfolio. The role involves leading a team of Collection Associates, ensuring compliance with collection processes, optimizing manpower deployment, and minimizing delinquencies while controlling collection costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive bucket-wise collection performance and recovery on Loss on Sale for the Commercial Vehicle / Tractor portfolio.
- Ensure timely collections and achievement of assigned targets.
- Maintain zero delay in cash / cheque / digital payment deposition as per defined processes.
- Focus on non-starters, chronic delinquent accounts, and high-risk cases.
- Manage and guide a team of Collection Associates to ensure productivity and coverage.
- Ensure adequate manpower deployment in line with CAPE norms.
- Monitor daily field activity and productivity of collection staff.
- Ensure 100% usage of Mobile Collection App with accurate trails, feedback, and visit updates.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for collections and repossession.
- Identify and escalate fraud or high-risk cases as per internal policy.
- Plan and monitor asset deployment and customer visits for delinquent accounts.
- Initiate and coordinate legal actions for critical and escalated cases.
- Ensure repossession activities are executed strictly in line with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Maintain a healthy portfolio by reducing delinquency levels.
- Drive collection efficiency while ensuring effective cost management.
- Track performance metrics and take corrective actions to improve recovery ratios.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience:
- 57 years of experience in Collections & Recovery.
- Mandatory experience in Tractor / Commercial Vehicle (CV) product.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- High level of self-drive, ownership, and result orientation.
- Good understanding of collection metrics, delinquency management, and recovery strategies.
- Ability to manage teams, motivate field staff, and drive performance under pressure.
- Working knowledge of mobile-based collection systems and digital reporting tools.
