About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Collection Manager to oversee bucket-wise collections, repossessions, and recovery activities for our Commercial Equipment (CE) portfolio. The role requires strong team management skills, deep understanding of secured lending collections, and the ability to drive timely recoveries while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Drive bucket-wise collections, write-off recovery, and Loss-on-Sale (LOS) recovery for the CE portfolio.

- Ensure timely achievement of collection efficiency targets in alignment with organizational goals.

- Maintain a healthy portfolio by minimizing delinquencies and improving recoveries.

- Lead and manage a team of Collection Associates and Collection Officers to ensure effective portfolio coverage.

- Ensure adequate on-ground manpower as per CAPE norms to maximize productivity and reach.

- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to the team.

- Ensure 100% usage of the Mobile App for field updates, customer trails, and feedback to maintain transparency and audit readiness.

- Monitor timely money deposition and adherence to financial and operational controls.

- Identify deployment of assets and conduct field visits or customer meetings for high-risk and delinquent cases.

- Handle non-starter cases and prioritize revenue collection in critical segments.

- Initiate legal actions for high-risk accounts and ensure documentation is maintained as per policies.

- Oversee repossession activities while ensuring full compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.

- Manage the collection budget effectively by optimizing field resources and operational expenses.

- Contribute to improving overall cost-to-collection efficiency.

- Solid understanding of secured/unsecured lending products and recovery processes.

- Ability to manage field teams and handle high-pressure situations.

- Strong analytical skills with good command over data interpretation and reporting.

- High level of self-motivation, ownership, and problem-solving capability.

Experience: 5-7 years in collections, recoveries, or field operations within secured/unsecured lending - preferably in Commercial Equipment, Auto Loans, CV/CE, or related products.

Education: Graduate degree (MBA/PGDM is a plus).
