1. Payroll Configuration & Implementation
- Lead or support payroll module configuration on the Darwinbox platform, including salary structures, tax rules, reimbursements, loans, bonuses, statutory deductions, and payroll calendars.
- Translate client payroll policies into system logic and validate against Darwinbox's capabilities and best practices.
- Ensure proper mapping of payroll inputs and outputs, including integrations with attendance, leave, and finance modules.
2. Client Engagement & Advisory
- Collaborate with client stakeholders (HR, Finance, Compliance) to capture payroll needs, validate statutory requirements, and align system configuration accordingly.
- Provide advisory support on streamlining payroll processes, ensuring efficiency and statutory compliance.
- Facilitate workshops, user training sessions, and stakeholder sign-offs.
3. Data Validation & Parallel Runs
- Manage end-to-end payroll data migration activities including employee compensation, historical payroll, and compliance data.
- Conduct rigorous validation through parallel payroll runs, identify discrepancies, and ensure root cause resolution.
- Own the final sign-off from clients before go-live.
4. Compliance & Audit Alignment
- Ensure all payroll configurations are aligned with country-specific statutory regulations (EPF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, etc.).
- Support audit and compliance documentation during and post go-live, including integration with Form 16, returns filing, and payroll registers.
5. Integration & Reporting
- Support payroll-related integrations with finance (ERP), banking (salary disbursement), and statutory reporting tools.
- Design and validate customized reports and dashboards required by client payroll and finance teams.
6. Post Go-live Support
- Provide hypercare support post-implementation to resolve queries and stabilize payroll operations.
- Coordinate with Darwinbox support teams to raise and track resolution of issues beyond configuration scope.
Key Skills & Experience
- 6-10 years of experience in payroll consulting or operations; experience with Darwinbox is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws; exposure to other geographies (MENA, SEA) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in payroll configuration and implementation lifecycle.
- Excellent problem-solving and client communication skills.
- Familiarity with payroll integrations to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally) and statutory e-filing platforms.
