Job Description :

Hiring Alert : Manager Audit Quality Review (2nd Line of Defense).

We are looking for experienced Audit Professionals to join our 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD) Audit Quality Review Team.

Locations : Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Chennai (Candidates from North India locations are not being considered for this requirement).

Role : Manager.

Experience : 6 - 10 Years (Relevant Experience Preferred).

About the Role :

As part of the 2LoD team, you will play a critical role in enhancing audit quality by independently reviewing audit engagements, providing real-time support and coaching to engagement teams, and ensuring compliance with professional standards before audit opinions are signed.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform independent, in-depth reviews of significant risks and key audit areas on audit engagements.

- Review and assess Key Audit Matters (KAMs) and ensure engagement files are compliant with applicable auditing standards.

- Provide technical guidance and coaching to engagement teams to improve audit quality and documentation.

- Drive efficiency and consistency in audit approaches across engagements.

Support Quality & Risk initiatives, including :

1. Audit milestone monitoring

2. Quality review MIS reporting

3. Standardization initiatives

4. Audit quality projects

5. Coordination with specialists

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong experience in Statutory Audit / External Audit.

- In-depth knowledge of Indian Standards on Auditing (SAs).

- Strong understanding of Key Audit Matters (KAMs).

- Experience in reviewing audit documentation, risk assessments, and financial statement audits.

- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

- Ability to work independently and drive assignments to closure.

Preferred Background :

- Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Experience with Big 4 or leading audit firms preferred.

- Prior experience in Audit Quality Review, Engagement Quality Review (EQR), Technical Audit, or Quality & Risk Management functions is an added advantage.
