Role Overview:

The role of IG Head at Happiest Minds entails leading an Industry Group and assuming end-to-end responsibility for its performance and results. Happiest Minds has built depth in several Domains with Domain Heads transforming our approach to GTM and offerings from a technology-led one to an approach centered around business orientation and domain strengths. The IG Head role is expected to build on this foundation and help move the organization into a structure built around IG P&L's.

EdTech (Educational Technology), refers to the use of technology to facilitate, enhance, and transform learning, teaching, and education management. It encompasses a wide range of tools, platforms, and approaches that leverage digital resources to improve educational outcomes. This can include online learning platforms, digital textbooks, educational software, mobile apps, virtual classrooms, AI-driven personalized learning tools, and even the use of virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) in education.

At Happiest Minds, we work across all subsegments of EdTech all through from Pre-K, K-12 to higher education, professional learning, workforce and upskilling

Some of the responsibilities of the EdTech IG Head are outlined below.

P&L-Oriented Role:

- Build and meet NN and EE/EN revenue targets in collaboration with Geo Heads and NN Global Sales Head.

- Achieve Gross Margin (GM) goals by optimizing competency mix, geo mix, pricing strategy, people cost, and project overruns.

- Deliver Plan PBT by meeting Gross Margin targets, managing expenses, and driving operational efficiency.

- Develop pricing strategies to optimize revenue, profitability, and customer acquisition/retention.

Market-Oriented Role:

- Establish relationships with CXOs, acting as Exec Sponsor for top accounts and driving QBRs.

- Ensure high customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score through excellent delivery and providing value-adds based on deep understanding of customer needs.

- Establish Happiest Minds as a Thought Leader through engagement with Analysts, Advisors, and various platforms.

Strategy-Oriented Role:

- Own and deliver strategy, including identifying new segments, offerings, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies.

- Define a compelling strategy to address market shifts, competitive dynamics, and technology changes.

- Develop an IP/Solutions strategy and drive partnerships to achieve desired outcomes.

- Own and drive partnerships specific to the IG in collaboration with Alliance team and Sales to achieve the desired business outcomes.

Team Leadership-Oriented Role:

- Set vision and align the team to deliver on it.

- Ensure high People Happiness and identify actions to improve sentiment.

- Collaborate across functions to ensure Vertical success.

- Drive talent upgradation and multi-skilling initiatives.

Sales, Marketing & Related Ops -Oriented Role:

- Execute GTM plan to meet revenue goals, new logo closures etc.

- Lead Account Mining efforts to support Land and Expand strategy.

- Provide monthly guidance and review progress on revenue targets.

- Own presales cycles for both NN and existing accounts.

- Ensure lead generation engine provides sufficient pipeline.

Delivery, Planning & Operations-Oriented Role:

- Prepare annual Business Plan in collaboration with stakeholders.

- Ensure capability building and skill availability aligns with demand and market conditions.

- Build a strong team of Domain Consultants/Business Analysts.

- Develop IG specific technology capabilities.

Role Specification

Qualification: MBA

Relevant Experience: 20 to 22 years in IT Service Delivery and at least 3 years as an IG Head with ownership of a P&L

Essential:

- Deep understanding of the EdTech Industry

- Track record of consistently achieving revenue and profitability targets.

- Ability to define and position services offerings and identify solutions that accentuate these offerings.

- Ability to bring cross-functional teams (within and outside the business unit) together.

- Creating account development strategies that have helped grow $10M+ accounts.

- Experience with entire sales cycle including building and executing GTM strategies.

- Bringing together different functions onto the same page to work as a cohesive team.

- Building high performing teams.

- Building relationships and winning the confidence of customer executive leadership.

- Good understanding of Product and Services Delivery

- Engaging with analysts and contributing actively to thought leadership activities.
