About the Role:

We are looking for a Data Science & Analytics Lead with 8+ years of experience in the BFSI/NBFC or Life Insurance domain. The person will lead an analytics vertical, manage teams and work closely with senior business and client stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Data Science & Analytics vertical, including team, projects and delivery.

- Develop and oversee machine learning, statistical and predictive models.

- Work on BFSI use cases such as credit risk, underwriting, fraud, collections, customer analytics, churn and cross-sell.

- For Life Insurance, strong understanding of persistency, lapse, underwriting, claims, customer segmentation and propensity models is preferred.

- Translate business problems into practical analytics solutions and drive projects end-to-end.

- Manage and mentor Data Scientists and Analysts.

- Work with senior stakeholders and clients to understand requirements and present analytical insights.

- Identify new analytics opportunities and contribute to the growth of the vertical.

What We Are Looking For:

- 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics or Risk Analytics.

- Strong experience in BFSI/NBFC or Life Insurance.

- Deep understanding of Credit Risk - Risk Modelling or Life Insurance analytics.

- Strong hands-on experience in Python, SQL and Machine Learning.

- Experience with models such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, GBM, etc.

- Strong understanding of model validation and performance metrics such as Gini, KS, AUC, PSI and Lift.

- Experience in team/vertical management and stakeholder management.

- Strong business understanding and ability to connect analytics with business outcomes.
