Role Overview:

As the Deputy General Manager, you will oversee end-to-end production operations for Bakery products at our Nagpur unit, ensuring that manufacturing excellence aligns with our high-volume output requirements. You will serve as a key bridge between senior leadership and plant operations, managing cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, maintain stringent quality standards, and drive cost-effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct large-scale production operations to ensure consistent output quality and adherence to strict food safety standards across all product lines.

- Manage annual production budgets and capital expenditure plans to improve plant infrastructure and operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement departments to streamline raw material sourcing and minimize production downtime.

- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize resource utilization.

- Lead and mentor a diverse team of plant managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.

- Monitor key performance indicators to provide actionable insights to executive leadership regarding plant productivity and operational health.

- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards within the manufacturing facility.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale food processing or FMCG manufacturing units with a focus on high-volume production cycles.

- Experience in Biscuit and Cake Manufacturing (Bakery Products).

- Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams in a high-pressure, on-site manufacturing environment.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex operational data and drive strategic decision-making.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities to align cross-functional teams with organizational goals.

- Deep understanding of food safety certifications, quality management systems, and industrial safety protocols.

- A degree in Engineering or Food Technology, preferably supplemented by a management qualification from a premier institute.

- 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in production management and general operations within the food industry.
