Incumbent will be responsible for directing strategic planning efforts, leading cross-functional strategic projects, developing & sharing new & actionable insights into industry/competitive dynamics, initiating and leading M&A opportunities, planning & execution in line with company priorities and monitoring budgeting and performance across businesses.

Briefs :

- Formulate and execute an inclusive strategic plan for the business.

- Facilitate, provide inputs, maintain and update the long-term strategic plans and annual operating plans for the company

- Work with EDs to plan for business expansion, diversification; build a long term plan for Wagh Bakri Group across tea, retail and potential allied businesses

- Develop longer term business strategies and identify strategic growth bets; lead a disciplined review process to update the strategies on a regular basis as needed

- Work with the management and cross-functional teams to establish an effective corporate level strategic planning process and execute strategies effectively and efficiently.

- Scan the business & industry environment for emerging trends & opportunities - in new & existing areas - for the company to leverage, develop a comprehensive point of view / business case, and share the same with the management for decision making and strategy alignment

- Identify potential M&A options, undertake due diligence in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders, and facilitate the decision making and transaction management & execution process as required

- Collate & analyze the Company's budgets and performance, and prepare management reports in accordance with the requirements of the company's top management

- Develop methods & tools for performance management in the company by sourcing data, calculating, updating and analyzing achievement vis- vis planned KPIs across businesses for regular review by the management.

- Consult with & update management for critical decisions, updates & inputs

- Groom successors for taking on critical roles in the team for the future

- Manage people development initiatives within the department / function to ensure a capable and motivated workforce
