Overview :

You will be part of a boutique consulting firm that works closely with founders, finance leaders, and global teams on high-impact finance assignments. The work is hands on and tends to vary from one engagement to another, often in environments where processes are still evolving or need to be rebuilt with greater clarity.

The team is intentionally small, which means you will be directly involved in problem solving and expected to take ownership of what you deliver. There is regular interaction with decision makers, and the nature of work requires systems thinking and clear judgement. This role usually fits someone with depth of finance experience, who enjoys making sense of loosely defined situations and putting structure in place to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities :

Process understanding and redesign :

- Study how finance processes operate in practice, including informal steps that may not be documented

- Identify gaps, failure points, and areas where outputs are inconsistent

- Rework processes to introduce clearer ownership, sequencing, and decision points

- Support automation initiatives by laying out processes in a way that can be translated into system logic

- Bring a good understanding of data analytics to designing meaningful dashboards and reporting templates

Risk and control thinking :

- Assess where risk arises within a process and how it is currently being managed

- Design controls that are practical to operate and hold up under review

- Prepare risk and control documentation that is clear and internally consistent

Documentation :

- Draft process manuals,flowcharts and SOPs that are structured, precise, and user-friendly

- Ensure documentation reflects how processes are expected to run at scale

- Bring consistency in how processes are described across different engagements

Analytical application :

- Use accounting and FP&A understanding to assess the reliability of outputs

- Look beyond surface issues and approach problems in a structured way

Stakeholder interaction :

- Work with finance leaders to understand constraints, priorities, and context

- Communicate observations and recommendations in a straightforward and balanced manner

Qualifications and Requirements :

- Qualified CAs with relevant experience only

- Strong grounding in corporate accounting, finance and FP&A functions

- Experience in process improvement, automation, or finance transformation roles

- Ability to break down processes and think through risks and controls independently

- Excellent analytical judgement and attention to detail

- Systems thinking and some hands-on automation knowledge in a prior role

- Polished written and verbal communication

- Experience in interacting with senior management and overseas stakeholders would be a plus
