Role Overview:
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy deep analytical work, have a strong grounding in finance and investments, and can translate complex findings into clear, investor-grade written content for a global audience.
The role primarily involves research and analysis of global companies, industries, and markets, producing comprehensive long-form reports based on rigorous analysis, with exceptional written communication that requires minimal editing before being presented to an international audience.
In addition to traditional investment research, the role includes evaluating, testing, validating, and improving research outputs generated through technology-enabled analytical tools. This requires a sharp eye for detail, strong financial judgement, and an uncompromising commitment to accuracy and quality.
This role within the research vertical of a financial consulting firm also offers rotational exposure to varied projects such as financial analysis and management reporting, financial diligence and QOE, automation of finance processes, and other related areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on global listed companies, sectors, industries, and macroeconomic trends.
- Analyse financial statements, business models, competitive dynamics, management quality, and investment risks.
- Evaluate investment opportunities across a range of markets, geographies, and asset classes.
- Produce high-quality investment research reports and company analyses.
- Review, test, validate, and enhance reports and analyses generated through research and analytical tools.
- Identify factual inaccuracies, analytical gaps, logical inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in research outputs.
- Collaborate with internal teams on a wide range of finance, strategy, and consulting related assignments.
Mandatory Requirements:
- CA, MA (Economics), MBA, CFA, or an equivalent finance, economics, or investment qualification.
- Experience in investment research, equity research, due diligence, financial analysis, report writing, business research, or finance content writing.
- Outstanding written English is essential. The ability to explain complex financial concepts with clarity, precision, and strong logical structure is a core requirement.
- Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and commercial judgement.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless focus on excellence of output. Candidates should enjoy reviewing work critically and maintaining very high quality standards.
- Ability to assess information objectively, challenge assumptions, and verify facts with confidence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CA qualification or strong accounting and financial statement analysis expertise would allow for varied rotational exposure across other verticals.
- Experience working with international clients, overseas stakeholders, or global financial markets would be a plus.
- A keen willingness to work across a broad range of finance and consulting engagements beyond traditional investment research.
Why This Role Is Different:
This role offers the opportunity to work on both traditional investment research and the evaluation of advanced technology capabilities. You will contribute to analysing global companies and markets, ensuring a breadth and depth of learning, while helping ensure that research outputs meet the standards expected by professional investors and financial decision makers.
We are particularly interested in candidates who take genuine pride in the quality of their work, possess exceptional written communication skills, and are meticulous in fact-checking, analysis, and presentation. For the right individual, this role provides exceptional exposure to a broad range of finance and consulting projects.
