About the Role:


The Senior Manager - IT Ecommerce is a pivotal role within our technology organization to focus on delivering world class digital / ecommerce shopping and instore Omni Channel experience to our customers. This individual will drive the Project delivery, and day-to-day operations of our technology ecosystem spanning e-commerce platforms, Omnichannel, POS / ERP integrations, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate blends deep technical acumen with strong business sensibility and the ability to lead cross-functional, high-performing teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Technology Strategy & Roadmap


- Define and execute the IT roadmap aligned to retail and e-commerce business objectives.


- Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, automation, personalized e-commerce) and recommend adoption strategies.


- Partner with senior leadership in technology and ecommerce business teams to forecast technology delivery timelines and ontime delivery of projects.

E-Commerce & Digital Platform Management


- Oversee the architecture, performance, and scalability of e-commerce platforms and omni channel capabilities instore (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce etc.).


- Manage integrations across ERP, CRM, and payment gateways.


- Ensure 99.9%+ uptime SLAs for digital storefronts and mobile applications.

IT Operations & Infrastructure


- Oversee enterprise infrastructure including cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).


- Lead IT service management (ITSM) practices - incident, change, and problem management.

Cybersecurity & Compliance


- Work with the Cyber Security team to Implement and maintain information security policies in compliance with PCI-DSS, DPDP, and applicable data privacy laws.


- Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audit cycles.


- Develop and periodically test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management


- Manage third-party vendors, SLAs, and technology contracts, driving cost efficiency and quality.


- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and innovation for ecommerce business.


- Work with the IT Heads on initiatives assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:


Required:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.


- 8-12 years of progressive IT experience with at least 3 years in a people management role.


- Proven experience in a retail or e-commerce environment with multi-channel technology exposure.


- Hands-on expertise with e-commerce platforms, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise integrations.


- Strong knowledge of IT service management framework.


- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred:


- Relevant certifications: PMP, ITIL, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.


- Delivered e-commerce and multi-channel products for a Jewelry / Retail Chain


- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.


- Prior exposure to international retail operations or multi-region e-commerce rollouts.
