Role Overview:

As an Investment Banking Associate, you will serve as a core member of the deal execution team, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of complex financial transactions.

You will work closely with senior partners and clients to structure deals, conduct rigorous financial analysis, and navigate the nuances of the Indian regulatory landscape.

This role is pivotal in shaping the firm's transaction outcomes, requiring you to balance technical precision with the ability to communicate strategic insights effectively to stakeholders and potential investors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the preparation of comprehensive pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations to effectively position client businesses to potential investors or acquirers.

- Develop and maintain complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis, to support valuation and deal structuring decisions.

- Manage the due diligence process by coordinating with legal, financial, and tax advisors to ensure all transaction risks are identified and mitigated.

- Execute transaction workflows by tracking deal milestones and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and internal quality standards.

- Mentor junior analysts by providing guidance on technical modeling and market research to ensure high-quality output across all client engagements.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and corporate finance.

- Ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable insights for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client expectations and build professional rapport during high-pressure deal negotiations.

- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Mumbai.

- A postgraduate degree in Finance or an MBA from a premier business school, complemented by 3 - 9 years of relevant experience in investment banking or corporate finance.
