The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Sales Manager who can bridge strategic sales leadership and AI-driven product development.

You will lead the Inside Sales and Business Development teams, own the revenue number for U.S. clients, and work directly with the CTO, CPO, Marketing, and Implementation teams to design Espalier's next-generation AI-SDR (Sales Development Representative) platform.

This is a hybrid role - part sales leader, part builder - ideal for a commercially strong professional who wants to be at the forefront of AI-driven go-to-market transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Revenue Leadership: Own and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for U.S.-based enterprise and investment clients.

- Sales Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Inside Sales team, ensuring high-quality outreach, conversion, and campaign design.

- AI-SDR Co-Creation: Collaborate with CTO and CPO to design, test, and refine Espalier's AI-SDR engine - an internal AI product that automates lead identification, messaging, and qualification.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing and Implementation to ensure messaging alignment and seamless client handoff.

- C-Level Engagement: Drive high-value conversations with CXOs (CEOs, CFOs, CSOs, Partners) in Private Equity, Investment Banking, and Corporate Strategy.

- Consultative Selling: Understand client pain points in strategy, M&A, or growth execution, and position Espalier's External Brain products (Data APIs, Analytics Apps) as solutions.

- Thought Leadership & Positioning: Represent Espalier in strategic forums, contribute to outreach content, and elevate brand visibility among decision-makers.

- Pipeline Governance: Track, forecast, and manage pipeline health; report key metrics to leadership.

Ideal Background:

- 6-12 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, preferably in AI, analytics, SaaS, or strategy consulting.

- Proven ability to sell complex, consultative solutions to senior stakeholders (C-suite, Partners, or corporate strategists).

- Prior experience managing Inside Sales or Account-Based Marketing teams.

- Familiarity with U.S. Private Equity, Investment Banking, or industrial ecosystems.

- Comfort with AI/automation tools, CRM platforms, and data-driven selling methodologies.

- Exposure to building or piloting AI-driven sales automation is a major advantage.
