Sing One Song is making music learning fun and easy - like Duolingo did for languages, starting with voice.
Were building AI-powered vocal coaching in the form of games and challenges designed to teach songs. Our early playful experiences include:

Current online music learning tools are boring and intimidating for casual users. Our mission is to make singing accessible, fun, and habit-forming, and to use AI to create a million new singers.
Youll be working closely with Jacob Singh (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jacobsingh/) (exCountry Head, Acquia Drupal; exCPTO, Blinkit, former VC at Sequoia India & Alpha Wave Global).
About the Role
We are looking for a Founding Growth & Community Manager who can take Sing One Song from 0 1 in user acquisition, retention, and community love. This role is primarily focused on Community & Social Led Growth & not short-term viral spikes, but building deep, lasting communities of singers and creators.
This is not a traditional marketing role. It sits at the intersection of :
- Community building & Growth loops
- Social content
- Experiments
- Product + GTM
- Influencer & creator partnerships
You will architect the systems that create our distribution, our fanbase, and our viral moments.
What You Will Own
1. Community Building & Retention (Primary Focus)
- Build our early communities across Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, campus groups, etc.
- Turn early users into superfans, creators, and champions.
- Run weekly/monthly touchpoints: AMAs, challenges, streak rituals, group practice, meetups.
- Create belonging, ritual, and habit for people learning to sing.
2. Social & Content Systems
- Own our social presence across IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Discord.
- Develop shareable content formats + evergreen content IPs(vocal lessons, expert chats, mini-podcasts).
- Collaborate with creators for duets, challenges, reactions, Vocal DNA videos.
3. Growth Experiments
- Run & track small experiments around onboarding, activation, and habit loops.
- Test messages, hooks, and community incentives that increase retention.
- Run weekly community programs - AMAs, challenges, streaks, meetups, competitions.
- Build loops instead of one-off campaigns.
4. Partnerships & Distribution
- Build relationships & work with vocal coaches, music creators, schools, and student communities.
- Design ambassador programs + micro-communities that scale distribution.
5. Voice of the User
- Work closely with product/AI/design to feed user insights into the roadmap.
- Shape activation, habit loops, and retention motions based on real user behavior.
What Were Looking For
Must-Haves
- 1 - 3+ years in growth, community, creator management, or consumer social
- Strong instincts for UGC, creators, and storytelling
- Experience building or moderating communities
- High ownership; thrives in ambiguity and 01 environments
- Deep empathy for users; able to build authentic relationships
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with youth communities, music, gaming, or creator ecosystem
- Basic analytics comfort (Sheets, Notion, dashboards)
- Understanding of TikTok/Reels pacing, hooks, editing
- Bonus: you sing or play an instrument
- Ex-founder or experience in Founders Office roles
