Role Overview:

The Business Head for Africa will lead the strategic direction and operational execution across the continent. This executive will be accountable for driving significant revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability, overseeing all aspects from sales and marketing to operations and talent development. They will work closely with regional teams, global leadership, and key external stakeholders, shaping the company's future in a critical growth market and directly impacting the lives of customers through accessible and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the African market, ensuring alignment and maximizing long-term shareholder value.

- Drive aggressive revenue growth and achieve P&L targets across all business units in Africa, optimizing operational efficiency and resource allocation.

- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions to expand footprint and diversify its offerings across the continent.

- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing regional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement to ensure sustained business success.

- Key external ambassador, engaging with government bodies, industry associations, and major clients to enhance brand reputation and secure strategic advantages.

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the African operations, providing regular performance reports and insights to the executive board.

- Implement robust risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards, safeguarding the company's assets and reputation.

Required Skillset :

- Proven ability to manage large-scale P&L responsibilities and drive significant business growth in complex emerging markets, particularly within Africa.

- Exceptional strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a track record of translating vision into tangible business outcomes.

- Strong leadership presence and demonstrated success in building, motivating, and managing diverse, high-performing cross-functional teams.

- Superior negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, adept at influencing at all levels, from C-suite executives to government officials.

- Deep understanding of the African business landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances.

- Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA from a top-tier institution is highly preferred.

- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, often requiring extensive travel across the African continent.
