The person would be responsible for OTC/X business in select markets in Africa & South-East Asia & Indian Sub-continent (ex-India) by partnering with in-country Brand Managers to drive consistent brand & trade strategy execution. This role is responsible for translating global brand direction into strong local activations, ensuring alignment while delivering commercial impact. The incumbent shall manage integrated campaigns, support portfolio growth, and act as a key bridge between global and country teams.
Individual will be expected to work across one or more focus markets such as Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, South Africa, Morrocco, Nigeria depending on business priorities and project needs.
This role will have an international travel requirement of at least 4-6 week-long trips per year.
Areas of Responsibility:
Brand Strategy & Market Alignment:
- Support development and execution of annual brand plans aligned to regional and country business objectives
- Work closely with in-country Brand Managers to adapt global strategy into relevant local initiatives
- Ensure consistency of brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across markets
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities
Campaign & Activation Management:
- Lead execution of ATL, BTL and digital campaigns across multiple markets
- Coordinate with creative agencies, media partners, and internal stakeholders
- Partner with in-country teams to ensure timely rollout of campaigns in retail and pharmacies
- Track campaign performance and recommend optimization actions
Sales Enablement & Trade Support:
- Work with Sales and Trade Marketing to drive strong in-store execution
- Support promotional planning and channel-specific initiatives
Budget & Performance Management:
- Assist in managing brand budgets and monitoring ROI
- Track KPIs such as market share, distribution, and campaign effectiveness
- Prepare dashboards, reviews, and performance presentation.
Innovation and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Identify new OTC/OTX products to create a robust pipeline basis insight from market research and market visits.
- Coordinate with business development teams to build business cases for future products
- Work closely with Medical/Regulatory, Supply Chain, Digital, CMI, and external agencies
- Collaborate with in-country Brand Managers to ensure smooth execution
Educational Qualification:
- MBA in Marketing
Experience and Skills:
- 5-8 years of product & trade marketing experience
- Good communication & negotiation skills
- Proficient in excel ~ comfortable in managing large data files & analyzing information
- Experience working with multiple markets or regional teams preferred
- Proven agency management and integrated campaign experience
- Relationship oriented & a good collaborator.
