The role involves overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with RBI regulations, and driving efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.


Key responsibilities are as under:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Work on monthly, quarterly, and yearly closure of books of accounts, MIS and reporting to investors and other stakeholders as needed

- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on financial performance, variances from Budgets

- Ensure compliance with Ind AS and other reporting requirements

- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations and review of RBI reports

- Manage multi entities set up for accounting and reporting

Internal Controls and & System Developments:

- Enhance the financial systems, internal control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information

- Ensure compliance with Accounting and Auditing requirements of internal controls

- Enhancing system reconciliations to ensure financial integrity

- Strive for continuous improvement in systems and integrations, and work on automation to improve systems. Past ERP implementation experience is a great advantage.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor the large (14 member) qualified team of finance

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development needs.

- Partner with business leaders and peers to drive the organization goals.

External Stakeholder Management

- Work with the Statutory and Internal Auditors (Big4s) effectively and implement the changes, and communicate the outcomes to the business stakeholders

- Act as a primary point of contact analysts and other team members of investors for tactical data requirements and query resolutions

- Primary contact for all lenders and financing partners for data submissions and financing line renewals.

- Working with due diligence partners to ensure that diligence reports are free from any material negative remarks.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant

- Experience: Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience with exposure to working in consulting (Big 4) and mid-size but fast-paced companies.

- Experience of working in startups is a plus but not the must! Should have at least 6 years of experience in managing and developing a team.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements including Ind AS

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) is an advantage

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to deal with external and internal stakeholders

- Ability to work in fast fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and limited clarity

- Ability to multitask and reset priorities quickly!
