
Role Overview:
The General Manager - HR will be responsible for driving the overall HR strategy, organizational development, manpower planning, culture building, and people management across multiple business units. The role requires a strategic HR leader who can align people practices with business goals while building a high-performance and growth-oriented organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business expansion plans.
- Drive long-term workforce planning and organizational capability building.
- Partner with leadership team for strategic decision-making related to people and organizational growth.
- Build HR frameworks, policies, and systems to support scalable business operations.
Manpower Planning & Talent Management:
- Lead annual manpower budgeting and workforce planning across departments and units.
- Ensure timely talent acquisition for critical and leadership positions.
- Develop succession planning and talent pipeline strategies.
- Monitor productivity, attrition, and workforce optimization initiatives.
Organizational Development & Culture Building:
- Drive organizational development initiatives to strengthen structure, processes, and employee engagement.
- Build and nurture a positive, performance-driven, and value-based organizational culture.
- Lead change management and transformation initiatives across units.
- Design employee engagement, retention, and employer branding initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, PMS, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
- Ensure implementation of HR policies and statutory compliance across all locations.
- Monitor HR MIS, analytics, and reporting systems for decision-making.
Team Management & Multi-Unit Handling:
- Lead and mentor HR teams across multiple business units/locations.
- Ensure standardization of HR practices and processes across units.
- Coordinate with plant/unit heads and functional leaders for effective HR support.
- Build strong interdepartmental collaboration and communication mechanisms.
