We are urgently hiring for the position of Group Controller (Manufacturing) for one of the Leading Manufacturing Company in Mumbai.

Position Details:

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 12-20 years of experience in Manufacturing industry as Financial Controller and experience in handling Multiple Entities and Multiple Countries will be preferable.

Qualification: CA (Must)

About the Role:

We are hiring a seasoned Group Controller for a leading manufacturing organization with operations across multiple entities and international markets. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for strengthening the accounting foundation, driving controllership transformation, enhancing costing capabilities, and supporting the organization's growth and capital readiness journey.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, multi-entity consolidation experience, and a proven track record of building scalable financial processes within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close, Consolidation & Reporting:

- Own the group-wide monthly close process and drive timely financial reporting.

- Lead consolidation of multiple legal entities across jurisdictions in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

- Ensure audit-ready financial statements and statutory compliance across all operating entities.

- Coordinate external audits and maintain strong relationships with auditors and regulatory stakeholders.

Reconciliations & Financial Controls:

- Establish and maintain robust reconciliation processes across all entities.

- Ensure timely completion and sign-off of bank, intercompany, balance sheet, and sub-ledger reconciliations.

- Drive financial data integrity and strengthen ERP governance to ensure a reliable source of truth.

- Implement best practices in financial controls and documentation.

Finance Operations:

- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Treasury, and Banking operations.

- Standardize finance processes and workflows across business units and locations.

- Improve efficiency in vendor payments, customer collections, and intercompany settlements.

- Ensure consistency in master data management and approval controls.

Costing & Profitability Analysis:

- Lead the development and enhancement of standard costing across manufacturing facilities.

- Deliver customer, product, segment, and SKU-level profitability analysis.

- Develop actionable margin insights to support pricing, investment, and operational decisions.

- Manage and mentor costing professionals and finance analysts.

Leadership & Team Development:

- Lead and develop the controllership function.

- Build high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.

- Establish clear performance standards and career development pathways.

Governance & Risk Management:

- Partner with Internal Audit and business stakeholders to strengthen internal controls.

- Support implementation of ICFR and governance frameworks.

- Drive documentation, segregation of duties, and compliance initiatives.

- Prepare the organization for future growth, diligence processes, and capital market readiness.

International & Multi-Entity Finance:

- Manage controllership activities across domestic and international operations.

- Establish effective intercompany accounting and governance frameworks.

- Support new entity setup, integration, and expansion initiatives.

- Contribute to accounting policy alignment, transfer pricing coordination, and global reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA qualifications are advantageous.

- MBA from a reputed institution is a plus.

Requirements:

- 12 to 18 years of post-qualification experience.

- Minimum 5 years in a Controller, Financial Controller, or equivalent leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

- Experience in organizations with significant scale and complexity.

- Demonstrated expertise in multi-entity consolidation and financial reporting.

- Strong exposure to manufacturing costing and profitability analysis.

- Proven success in finance transformation, process improvement, and control enhancement initiatives.

- Experience working in multi-country environments is highly desirable.

- Prior experience supporting audits, due diligence exercises, or capital readiness initiatives is preferred.
