Group Chief Financial Officer - Real Estate

About the Role

A reputed, legacy-rich conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai is seeking a dynamic Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance function. The Group operates across a diversified portfolio, with its core focus in real estate development, and significant presence in lifestyle manufacturing, retail and chemical manufacturing.

The incoming Group CFO will play a strategic leadership role in overseeing financial governance and performance across all business verticals, with a primary focus on the real estate portfolio. This is a high-visibility role that will involve close collaboration with promoters, business heads, and external stakeholders including banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Provide overall financial strategy for the group, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals

- Act as a key advisor to the promoters and board on business performance, risk, capital structuring, and expansion decisions

Real Estate Finance Oversight:

- Lead financial planning, project costing, cash flow management, and investor/lender interface for the real estate division

- Drive profitability and cost control across residential and commercial projects

Group Financial Management:

- Oversee group-wide budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and MIS

- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across multiple industries

Investor Relations & Fundraising:

- Manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, private equity investors, and rating agencies

- Lead fundraising activities and capital structuring initiatives across the group

Process Excellence & Governance:

- Strengthen internal controls, audit, tax planning, and ERP systems

- Drive digitization, compliance, and governance practices in line with best-in-class standards
